Language Specification

Overview

This documentation describes the MetaEd language syntax. The MetaEd language is designed to express metadata required to generate the ODS SQL, API metadata, XSD, and supporting documentation.

Audience

This documentation is for technical professionals developing in the MetaEd framework.

Prerequisites

To gain the most benefit from this information, the reader should already be familiar with the following knowledge areas:

• Ed-Fi Technology Suite, see www.ed-fi.org
• The Ed-Fi Extensions Framework, see, for example, the relevant sections of the Ed-Fi Extension Framework documentation and the ODS/API Platform documentation
