Cookbook
Overview
This cookbook contains recipes for common publishing scenarios with the Ed-Fi API Publisher. Each recipe gives the complete steps for one scenario, with examples of the requests, configuration files and commands, how to check the result, and the most common errors.
Each recipe was tested end to end with Ed-Fi API Publisher 1.4 and the versions it names. For a first run on a local sandbox, start with the Quick Start.
Audience
These recipes are for the technical staff who set up and run the API Publisher between two Ed-Fi APIs, for example at a district or a state agency.
Before You Start
- Install the API Publisher 1.4, as described in Use the API Publisher, and run the commands from the folder where it is installed.
- Run the examples in PowerShell 7.
- If an API uses a self-signed certificate, as a local test environment does,
add
-SkipCertificateCheckto theInvoke-RestMethodcalls and--ignoreSslErrors=trueto the API Publisher commands. Do not use them in production.
